Home Tech Solutions is a premier provider of on-demand technology support and installation services for homes in Southern Maine. We help individuals and families struggling with various tech issues, from computer repairs and Wi-Fi optimization to smart home installations and personalized training. Our goal is to make your home technology work effortlessly for you. 


We proudly serve homeowners throughout Southern Maine, including Portland, Scarborough, Kennebunk, Brunswick, Freeport, Biddeford and anywhere inbetween. If you're unsure if you're within our service area, please give us a call! 


Our standard business hours are 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM. We understand tech issues don't always happen during business hours, so please contact us for availability outside of these times.

We offer a wide range of services to cover all your home tech needs, including: 

  •  Computer & Device Support: Repair, virus removal, data backup, new device setup. 
  • Network & Internet Solutions: Wi-Fi optimization, network setup, troubleshooting.  
  • Smart Home & Entertainment Systems: Smart device installation, home automation, TV mounting, home theater setup. * 
  • Ongoing Support & Training: Remote tech support, personalized training, and maintenance plans. You can find a detailed list of all our services on our Services page. 


We offer transparent pricing, primarily through flat rates for most common services, and tiered pricing for our ongoing support plans. More complex projects require a custom quote.

  •  Flat Rates: Many of our popular services (like virus removal, computer setup, Wi-Fi optimization, and TV mounting) have a clear, upfront flat rate. 
  • Hourly Rate: For more complex diagnostics or highly customized work, we charge $95/hour (1-hour minimum). 
  • Subscription Plans: Our Annual Home Tech Health Check plans start from $35/month for ongoing peace of mind. You can view detailed pricing on our Services  under each service category. 


For on-site troubleshooting that does not lead to a flat-rate service or repair, a diagnostic fee of $75 (which covers the first 30 minutes of assessment) will apply. This fee may be waived if you proceed with a recommended flat-rate service. 


No, the prices listed for our services are for labor and service only. The cost of any necessary hardware (e.g., new computer parts, routers, smart devices, TV mounts) or software licenses is not included and will be quoted separately. We will always discuss any additional hardware needs and costs with you upfront. 


Yes! For many software-related issues, we can provide secure and convenient remote tech support. Please call us first to discuss your issue, then visit our [TeamViewer page] for instructions on how to connect. Remote support is charged hourly or is included in some of our subscription plans. 


 Absolutely! We offer various Annual Home Tech Health Check plans designed to provide proactive maintenance, priority support, and peace of mind. These subscription plans can include regular tune-ups, security checks, and discounted labor for out-of-scope work. Visit our Ongoing Support & Training service page for details on our Basic, Standard, and Premium plans.

 To help us serve you efficiently: * Ensure the area around your computer or device is clear and accessible. * Have any relevant account usernames and passwords (for your computer, Wi-Fi, or software) ready, but only share them directly with our technician when prompted and they are physically present. * If you have any original software discs or product keys, have them available. * Please inform us if you have any pets that might be disturbed by a visitor.

 The duration of a service call varies depending on the complexity of the issue or installation. We strive to provide an estimated timeframe when you schedule your appointment. For hourly services, our technicians will keep you informed of their progress. 


 While we have a high success rate, if a problem proves unfixable or cost-prohibitive to repair, we will clearly communicate this to you. Our diagnostic fee will still apply, but we will always offer advice on next steps, such as data recovery options or recommendations for new equipment.
